General Dance & Play Camp Information
NLPAS' Summer day camps are designed for children to enjoy the art of dance and creativity in our studios while also getting the opportunity to play with their peers using The Play Place's facility. Students will dance in our studios, participate in dance games & activities based on the weekly theme, create arts & crafts and also play in The Play Place's climbing structure, field and their outdoor playground. *All campers MUST be fully potty trained.

Week 1 June 26- June 30 :: Mermaids and Pirates
Join us for the first week of NLPAS summer camp exploring the beach and under the sea! We will learn to dance and enjoy the magic of mermaids and the comedy of pirates.

Week 2 July 5-7:: A very merry unbirthday USA
Let's celebrate the 4th of July in the magical world of Alice and Wonderland! We will be dancing, playing and creating all things red, white and blue with a mad hater spin.

Week 3 July 10- 14:: Broadway Bound
Does your child love to sing, dance and act?! This week we will be training all campers to find their inner triple threat. We will be singing and dancing to our favorite musicals and learning to act! We will also be holding mock auditions to learn what it is like to audition.

Week 4 July 17-21:: Princess and Prince Ballet
We will dive into the basics of ballet this week while also incorporating jazz and hip hop throughout the day. Ballet technique gives all dancers the building blocks they need to succeed which is why it is so important to have ballet experience. The campers will learn technique to top hits music and in a fun up beat environment.

Week 5 July 24- July 28:: Clara's Dream
Christmas in July, why not?? NLPAS does a Nutcracker every December and this is the perfect way to get an insider look at what this coming seasons Nutcracker might look like. Our Nutcracker is not ballet based, it is a remix of the traditional Nutcracker. So come and have Christmas in July with us and take Hip Hop, jazz, tap, lyrical and Acrobatics class with us!

Week 6 July 31- Aug 4:: Unicorn Magic
We are more than half way through summer camp and we are excited to bring Unicorn magic to the studio! Come dance and play with Unicorns this week.

Week 7 Aug 7- 11:: Circus and Acrobats
Lets go to the circus! Campers will play carnival games, learn to balance on their hands, learn to tumble and maybe even learn to be a clown!

Week 8 Aug 14- 18:: Zombie and Cheer
We will be dancing and cheering right out of this world! Inspired by the Disney show Zombies kids will dance to the music of the show and write their own cheers!

Week 9 Aug 21- 25 :: Pop star week!
Inspired by JOJO SIWA the campers will learn to sing and dance at the same time. Listening to todays top pop hits their dance classes will be commercial dance based which is a mixture of jazz and hip hop.

Week 10 Aug 28- Sept 1 :: World of Dance
This week campers will explore different styles from around the world and through the ages but they will also get a chance to show off their moves in a "World of Dance" setting. This will be an exciting week for all campers who love to perform.
